Online Business Tips - What Starter Would You Like?

Online Business Tips - What Starter Would You Like?

Heres another thought-provoking article:Written by Chris CobbWe experienced some excellent and yet incredibly subtle marketing this week - when out for a pre-Christmas dinner, which we combined with a leaving (the country) party for one of our friends. The restaurant in London is apparently quite well-known, although Id never heard of it, and the service was absolutely superb. For example, wines were recommended according to food selections, and we were never left with an empty bottle!Anyway, what really stuck in my mind was the subtle difference in the way that questions were being asked by the waiters...We were asked 'what vegetables would you like with that?' and 'what starter would you like?'Subtle, but I watched as even my head dropped back down to the menu to choose my vegetables and my starter! Its completely different to asking 'would you like.'You're being asked to choose, rather than given the option to say yes or no...Subtle, but very powerful... And you can use this method with your online business as well. You see, when people are in the buying mood (or hungry for a particular product, solution or service), you should offer them a similar product to compliment the product they're in the process of buying. For example, we were hungry for food and were ordering food... The waiters simply pointed us to complimentary 'vegetables' and wines (which we then bought). If online, you could do this by adding something to your order confirmation screen, a pop-up box, or after the sale has been completed with a screen that simply says 'Congratulations! You've just bought x, and we'd like to offer you an immediate discount if you buy y'.An offline business can do this verbally or, as I also experienced this week, with a leaflet within your boxed goods. Subtle, but very powerful forms of marketing... for both online and offline businesses.People buy what they WANT, so if you simply offer them more of what they WANT, there can only ever be one result...If you're not making the money you thought you'd be making at this point, then it's probably because you're not following up with your customers or you're not offering additional complimentary products to help them...And it's important that the products you're offering help people, or solve problems in some way for people. This is all I do - I find certain things, services, products, and sometimes just contact details to help people... and this is how I make my living... by simply helping people with their problems or needs. I do this mainly with online internet marketing and the use of e-mail, but you could implement this offline as well. And, importantly, everyone has some knowledge, interest, story or example of something they've done or achieved that people would not only like to know about, but would be more than willing to pay to hear, read or even be shown first-hand...In this information-age that we live in today, I urge you to make the best use of your knowledge - if not for monetary gain, but to help others in their quest for knowledge...Best wishes,Chris Cobb

Flameless Candles Add Safe, Delightful Ambience to Your Home

If you're a candle lover, you might tire of having to follow all the necessary safety rules each time you want to burn your favorite candle. Flameless candles solve this problem while adding just as much beauty and elegance to your home. They look real, but do not impose the hazards of real burning candles. When burning real candles, you must be careful not to place the candle on certain types of surfaces, particularly wood or cloth. Also, the candle should not be left unattended in a room for very long. Real candles can be dangerous around small children and pets, and they can catch fire if the wax and wick are not cared for properly. Also with real candles, you must be concerned with air drafts from windows and doors, or from your home's heating/air system. With flameless LED candles, you can enjoy the beauty of candles without all these worries. What are Flameless Candles?Flameless candles are candles that are battery-operated and created with special electronic features that give the appearance of a real flickering flame. Special LED bulbs are used to create the look and feel of a real burning wax candle. Though there are many types and styles of flameless candles, probably the most sought after are those with a sealed wax top and a realistic blackened wick, as those patented by a company named Candle Impressions using its exclusive Smart Chamber design. These use fine wax and fragrances to achieve the same effects of real scented candles.Flameless Candles and SafetyWith "flameless candles" , safety issues are non-existent because there is no real fire, no wiring, and no melting hot wax. Many apartment buildings, business offices, and rental homes have strict rules about burning candles due to fire code regulations. Flameless candles provide a wonderful alternative to real candles without being a potential fire hazard and/or violating the fire codes where you live or work.Decor Uses for Flameless CandlesFlameless candles often decorate homes for the holidays or during any season - spring, summer, fall, or winter. There are many styles of battery-operated candles with holiday themes, seasonal themes, colors, and fragrances. Flameless candles can be used to decorate for parties, weddings, or other special events. They also make fabulous gifts for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and other occasions. The candles are available in many shapes and sizes such as round, swirl, heart, and carved designs. They can come with their own wall sconces or outdoor fixtures with no worry of the wind blowing out the candlelight. Using flameless candles in wall sconces or for outdoor lighting eliminates the need for wiring as well. Battery-operated candles come in various pillar styles such as round (short and tall) or square. There are even fun flameless candles for kids, which make terrific night-lights!You can find a variety of flameless LED candles online. Replace your real candles with these soothing alternative candles, and add worry-free decoration and beauty to your home!

How To Creating a Web Based Business, Advanced Series III

You are most likely coming here as a follow up to my advanced series articles on creating an online business. Today we are going to cover some additional advanced tips to enhance your web site. Now that you have your ads running nicely, you will need to monitor traffic that visits your site. A few important factors to keep in mind are as follows: * How long does a visitor stay on your site? * What percentages of your visitors browse your site? * What conversions are you getting from each landing page? * Unique visitors versus repeat visitorsI want to repeat the cycle that is very important to understand. You want your keywords to bring visitors to the specific landing page that highlights what they are looking for. Put your self in their shoes. Imagine what you would be looking for if you typed a particular keyword in a search engine such as Google and give it to them. If they want to look around after that wonderful, but our goal is to get them to what they want quickly. No one wants to have to look around to find what they want. If we see and ad, we want to get information pertaining to what was in the ad when we click on it.I would suggest monitoring your keywords on a regular basis ensuring that the traffic being brought to your site is relevant. You may need to use some negative keywords to minimize (PPC) Paid Per Click advertising cost. For example if you have a keyword called work at home, you could get traffic from someone typing in assembly "work at home" . You can simply put assembly in as a negative keyword and that would prevent them from being directed to your site and you being charged for the click. You can easily see the fine-tuning process that needs to continue on a regular basis. On a regular basis you will need to fine-tune the following areas: * Keywords, adding, removing and using negative keywords * (PPC) Paid Per Click, monitor and keep bids to a minimum * Conversion rate on campaign ads * Move best converting programs to hot spots * Ensure you have a newsletter so you can keep track of your visitorsOver the years I have found many online tools that make this process easier. In the beginning I spent a lot of time doing this on a regular basis, but either way it was time well spent.I hope you have enjoyed my article series on this topic. There is so much valuable information that is to be learned. I learn daily when working with my site, however having owned business before I can tell you it's worth it. My time spent working has decreased, money increased and I enjoy life much more. I wish you the best.
